Dog owners who introduce their pets to crate training enjoy many benefits. The dog is safe from potential dangers while in the crate. There is also less risk of problems with younger children or of damage to furniture and other valuables while the dog in being trained. The dog learns to chew and eliminate properly. To help ensure crate trainig is successful, chose a crate that allows the dog to stand comfortably and turn arond while inside. Keep the crate in a busy area of the house so the dog feels a part of the action. While it's a good idea to use the crate to proactively prevent jumping or chewing, avoid using the crate as a "time-out" or punishment. P.S.
